Enough Is Enough 3:230:00/3:23
My name is Sam Magill. I’ve just finished recording my tenth album. I’ve also released two children’s books and in March of 2019 I released an audio/e-book entitled, ‘The Mighty Magill’s’...it's the first in a series. My path has been obvious to me for 30+ years…what light I have…I want to shine.
During the mid-90’s I wrote two albums and toured relentlessly with my band, ‘Thkind’. We were a fixture in Greenwich Village, NYC; releasing both albums at the iconic ‘Bitter End’. After five years and countless miles we parted as friends. I tried to give up on music but after two years as a recluse I hit the road again. This time I toured mostly as a duo called ‘Acoustic Sausage’. We morphed into ‘Big Boss Sausage and the Pacifist of Fury’...releasing an album under each name and touring non-stop for seven years. Me and my partner, Mingo Lodge, went our separate ways for a while…although, we still tour together on a regular basis. This brings us to 2008 when I formed a band called ‘The Pacifists of Fury’. I wrote and released three albums with this band and toured regionally for eight years. We started a program called, ‘Food, Feed, Fed’; this entailed collecting food at all of our shows and donating a portion of our pay to local food banks. We also played as many benefits as we could squeeze in. Toward the end of our time together I journeyed into children’s music. I wrote and released an album with my band mates under the name ‘Singing Sam and the Seedlings’. During this time I wrote and self-published two children’s books as well. By 2017 I decided to go solo releasing my ninth album, ‘Introducing Sam Magill’. Album number 10, 'Into the Sunset', was released in the summer of 2022.
How lucky I’ve been to have found something that I’m so passionate about. I feel blessed to have traveled so many miles with so many good people doing what I truly love to do. I hope our paths cross real soon.
